Dog Treat Thrower
This was a hackathon project I worked on, alongside two friends my freshman year. It was awarded "Top Tier" at MakeOHI/O. We were invited to show it at a later showcase event. It was an assistive device made to be used by the disabled, which could throw dog treats with the push of a button. It uses an Arduino as the controller for the motors in the throwing arm, as well as the servo in the treat preloader. It can have 10 treats loaded into the shaft over the basket, which are dropped one at a time into the catapult arm for throwing. The arduino source code can be found here.
